Step 1: Oil-Based Cleanser (A). The first step involves using an oil-based cleanser. This type of cleanser is specifically designed to dissolve and lift away oil-based impurities such as sebum, makeup, and sunscreen. Unlike traditional cleansers that might strip the skin of its natural oils, an oil-based formula works on the principle of "like dissolves like," effectively removing oil-based debris without disrupting the skin's lipid barrier. Gently massage the oil cleanser over dry skin, then add water to emulsify before rinsing thoroughly.
 
Step 2: Water-Based Cleanser (D). The second step uses a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining impurities, including dirt and sweat. This step ensures that the skin is thoroughly cleansed and refreshed. The water-based cleanser also helps to hydrate and prepare the skin for the toner, serum, and moisturizer that follow. Apply the cleanser to damp skin, lather, and rinse well.
